Institutional
Sardegna Digital Library, Digital heritage portal
Institutional portal making images, video, audio and texts from Sardinia's cultural heritage accessible to citizens, researchers and institutions.
Problem
Sardinia's digital heritage was spread across archives and uncoordinated systems. A public entry point was needed with effective search and multimedia collection browsing, built for high traffic and diverse users.
Solution
I collaborated on portal design and development, coordinating the team on behalf of third-party companies. Work covered information architecture, collection search and navigation, multimedia content management, and performance at scale.
Stack & technologies
Institutional portal · full-text search · multimedia catalog · Next.js · high-traffic architecture · accessibility
Result
sardegnadigitallibrary.it is the public channel to explore Sardinia's digital heritage: search, previews, and browsing open to all, no longer locked in scattered archives.
