Ayisha.js, HTML first JavaScript framework

Ayisha.js is an open source micro framework I created for reactive web apps without a build toolchain. HTML first syntax, 30+ directives and native SPA routing. ayisha.app is the official site with documentation, wiki, tutorials and live demos, built entirely with Ayisha.js.

Problem

Modern JavaScript often means React, Vue or Svelte with bundlers, npm and a steep learning curve, even for a landing page or small prototype. I wanted something lighter: write HTML with directives, add a single script tag and ship. No tool on the market offered that balance of power and simplicity.

Solution

I designed and built Ayisha.js from scratch, a micro VDOM framework with reactive state, reusable HTML components, and 30+ directives inspired by Vue and Angular. No build step, no dependencies. It started as a personal project and grew into a real tool. ayisha.app is both the framework's home and its best demo: interactive tutorials, a directives wiki, course pages, and comparison tables, all written in Ayisha.js.

Stack & technologies

Ayisha.js · Vanilla JavaScript · Virtual DOM · HTML-first directives · SPA routing · MIT license · jsDelivr CDN · GitHub (BenJrSky/ayisha.js)

Result

Ayisha.js is live at ayisha.app and on GitHub under MIT license. Developers can start with one script tag, browse 30+ directives in the wiki, and follow step-by-step tutorials that run real code. The site dogfoods the framework: what you see is what Ayisha.js can build, prototypes, docs, and lightweight apps without webpack.
